It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Yes, it is, for the human warmth, the family feelings, the generosity witnessed,
the general happy atmosphere.  But we all need to remember that it is wonderful for a much more somber reason - that God looked on our sinful, separated state and, moved with compassion and deep love, planned a way to overcome the separation by sending His own Son, His own essence, to come live among us, then die for us, thus paving the way for each of us to regain access to perfect union with God.  A union He created us to have.   It's the most wonderful time of the year!
